1. Type .npc info whilst targeting the creature
2. Look for NPC ID
3. Open your database editor and go to the creature_names (I think) table
4. Sort the table by column "ID"
5. Find the ID of the creature
6. Look for the text along that line that you want to change.

Done.

(This is, assuming you have an Ascent server)

^^^
Names: You can do this yes by doing .npc info and looking up the ID in your creature_names table and either looking up the ID. Another way to get the ID is to use the name in front of you and do .lookupcreature (.lookupc for short) and it will display the entry ID for that mob. When in your SQL creature_names table lookup the ID or the name and modify as you please.

Items: this depends on the NPC. If you are wishing to edit the vendor items of an NPC that is used in other towns (modified servers) you will need to do this to individual NPCs. When you are infront of the NPC root thru the bags to see what item you want to remove and use .lookupitem (name) to get the ID. Now you use the .vendorremoveitem (ID) to remove it from the NPC's vendor list.
