first you need to type /g and press space bar

i'm getting a strange problem with this.. i have the ascent-logon and ascent-world working and hooked but when i run the ascent-realm it gives me

connecting to Mysql on localhost with (moocow : *********)
connedtion failed. reason was 'access denied for user 'moocow'@'localhost'
(using password: YES)
one or more errors occured while connecting to databases

where do i fix this at?? i've look through all the config's to make sure everything is right and re-did mysql 3 times to do standered and same password.


never mind.. found the post for this in a before page..

now im just stuck and handshaking when i logon to the server

Looks like a good guide But for some reason i'm stuck on the very first part :S
I download MySQL and when the installing is done and i get to the "Configure the MySQL server now", i click Finish but nothing pops up :S

Any way to solve this?
Playing on a PC with Windows Vista.

if you dont have the maps folder in the ascent folder you cant explore the map (M) and also you cant revive with the spirit healer...

everytime I go to click on ascent-logon etc it comes up with the error: C:\Spartan Repack V4\Ascent3940\ascent-logonserver.exe

this application has failed to start because the applicated configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

it's done this ever since its change from ascent / logonserver to ascent-logon etc... any ideas please?

lol, i get stuck at handshakin <.<... when i re-try i get auto DC and when i try again it doesnt say anything like success or Handshaking its just a blank window with a "cancel" button in it.. pl0x (=

Okay, I'm totally new at this so I'm sure a lot of smarty-pants know-it-alls will make fun of me, but.... How do I set myself up as admin of my own server? I know you said to put "az" in that one column to become GM, but is it the same thing as Admin?

Also, I tried the GM commands ".levelup" and it said it either didn't exist or I didn't have access to it. It did that with quite a few other GM commands, too... Is it because I'm GM only (and not Admin)? Or are the commands different for your repack?

Is there some list somewhere that shows what the entry ID's and Display ID's are for the various objects/NPCs/Spells/Skills/etc.? Where might a person get hold of such a list?

Last, but most certainly *not* least: Thank you so much for such a detailed how-to guide and for the repack! It's wonderful and I had very minor issues getting it set up and running (issues which I was able to fix just by going over your guide several times and realizing the mistakes I'd made!)

If I could give you rep, I'd give as much of it as I could for such an easy-to-follow guide!
