This guide show's how to create a own Funserver (2.3)!
First you download my repack:[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] .
It's a zip archive so unpack it in a new folder.
In this folder now you should find 2 other folders named Ascent and xampplite.
If not then contact me... I will reupload then.
Then you go into Ascent and open the file "realms.conf"
there should stand sth. like this:

Now you should change "Your Realm" into the name of you Server. Save and close.
Now you go into the folder named "xampplite". Inside there, there should be a file named "setup_xampp".
Open it and wait some Seconds. Then press "1". Wait some seconds again until a message like "press any key to exit" appears. Then press this key =). OK. Your Server is now Succesfully installed. Now you only have to go in your "WoW" folder and change your realmlist to "set realmlist 127.0.0.1" without " and start the Server like told a little downside =).
To start your Server, open the folder "xampplite" and there the file "xampp_start".
Important: DON'T CLOSE IT AGAIN. Now leave the folder and enter the "Ascent" folder. Doublehit the file "Ascent.exe" and after the file "logonserver.exe". It is finished Starting when it looks like this:
To close the Server go into the windows "Logonserver" and "Ascent" and press "Ctrl+C". To Close Xampp go into the folder "xampplite" and doublehit the file "xampp_stop.exe".
Now you can Start WoW and log you in with the Accountname "admin" and the password "admin". There's a already created Char wich you can delete.
To create other Accounts or sth. like that use one of the both Ascent Websites: 127.0.0.1/axx and 127.0.0.1/hp
There's also a MaNGOS Website but it's german and full with shit and not useful for Ascent =)
