Private Server Help - 05-12-2008
Hello, I made the server like u said, and its running on 2.0. So it won't let me log in (I have the patchs for 2.4 downloaded to my pc) and I was wondering whats your suggestion to help me out? Well if you can help me, that would be great thx =)

My world of warcraft install is patched up to the latest version, and like others here I'm getting the "unable to validate game version" error. It seems likely that nobody with 2.4 will be able to get this to work.

EDIT: I went ahead and reinstalled wow 2.0, and have been slowly upgrading to see if any of the older versions work.
2.3.0 was the first version that completely worked for me. I have the server up and running, thanks OP!

Loading Probelms - 05-14-2008
The fail for World of Warcraft is "Unable to validate game version." So will I have to do the same as ShadowP13 and go down to 2.3 game version? I would like to find out how I could make my server 2.4 if you know how to.

Alright i got my server up and tried making it public by following another guide.

However as i was following a step,which required me to start up my server,MySQL wouldnt start and aksed if i had another SQL up on port: 3306. Also my Ascent Box said:

"Connection failed due to: 'Access denied for use 'root' @ 'localhost' <using password: YES>'"

Can anyone clarify whats going on?
