HI ALL

THIS IS EASY GUIDE HOW TO MAKE UR SERVER RUNNING WITH PICO'S REPACK + making it public
2.3.x ascent


download:

1)
download picos repack and extract it in some folder

2)
download mysql and open it
click next and select typical thingy

next
install

3)
now click next and u will see this window


click on configure the MYSQL server now and click finish

4)
U will see a new window click next


5)
select standard configuration --> next



6)
select install as windows service --> next


7)
new root pass: root
confirm : root
(or some pass u will remember)
(if ur making 1st time server put root its easier for later)




8)
click next and Execute


FINISH

9)
download and install navicat

10)
open navicat and click file --> new connection


password is root or what did u put on 7)
click test connection, if its successful click OK

close navicat

open picosrepack where ever u extract it and open ad.exe and copy the one u need (deDE=German, enUS= English etc.)
and paste it in ur wow folder
C:\ programfiles.... or where did u install ur wow
after u copy ur ad_xx make a new folder name maps in ur wow folder C:\program.....
and click on ad_xx and it will start adding maps in maps folder. leave it a while , when its done copy the maps folder in ur wow folder and paste it in to
picosrepack.

open navicat

dubel click on ascent to open it

right click on ascent and select new database...
name it ascent

again right click on ascent and make a new database ascentlogon

right click on ascentlogon and select execute batch file


click on (...) and open go to picosrepac --> database and open characters.sql

click start , its done in a sec
if its successful click close

right click on ascent and select execute batch file
click on (...) and open go to picosrepack --> database
and open ascent36
u can go watch tv it needs some time..
to me its done for 198sek thats fast lol

open picosrepack and open ascent.conf
if u put root as pass and user name u will not need to change it

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "root" Name = "ascent" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "root" Name = "ascentlogon" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

change green names to name and pass u put
save and close


20)open logonserver.conf and find:

<LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
Username = "root"
Password = "root"
Name = "ascentlogon"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

u dont have to change it if u make ur pass and name rootsave and close


21)
open realms.conf and find

<Realm1 Name = "picoswowserver"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "0"
TimeZone = "1">

change this green to ur server name
save and close


22)
now just change ur realmlist to 127.0.0.1

go to picosrepack and open pico's restarter and click all START
and for few sec GO AND PLAY!

now public with out hamachi lol

go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

make acc there

click add host

make ur name what ever u want
in IP address enter ur IP
u can see it here (click)

it needs few min to public it

now go to picosrepack
open ascent.conf

and find this

<Listen Host = "127.0.0.1"
WorldServerPort = "8129">

where it says 127.0.0.1 change it to ur host name
urname.servegame.com
save and close


30)
open logonserver.conf
and find

<Listen Host = "127.0.0.1"
ISHost = "0.0.0.0"
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093">

change 127.0.0.1 to ur host name
save and close

31)
open realms.conf
find :

<Realm1 Name = "ur realm name"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "0"
TimeZone = "1">

change 127.0.0.1 to ur host name and leave this :8129
save and close


32)
thats done ! ur server is now public without hamachi
and ur frends need to set there realmlist to ur host name ,
urservername.servegame.com
and u to lol

I searched this up but didnt find anything but every time i edit the files to make public my logonserver.exe just starts and instantly shutsdown.

If i dont make it public and leave everything at the 127.0.0.1 the server wont shut down.

What do i do to stop this?

hm... i look all.. to me it works .. maybe u put something wrong in logonserver .. 127.0.0.1 change with urname.servegame.com (hostname) ..

when i click to download pico's repack it opens up filebeam... for some reason filebeam doesn't like letting me download things and just freezes for a few minutes before saying you're trying to download the file too fast. >_>

edit: turns out i have to click the download button once and wait 5 minutes before it works

edit: for the fourth time i've tried downloading it it keeps downloading instantly but is corrupted in winrar >_>

edit: 18th time and the file is still corrupt.. filebeam is shit

edit: i've even gone to your other thread and tried download your smaller repack but that one's in filebeam and is corrupt too -.- someone upload it to a decent file uploading thing or something >_> i'll give rep to whoever uploads it again to somewhere decent

When i do step 8 i get an x in the start service and then it comes up with error 0.... any help?

yes . u need to reinstall navicat and mysql .. whan u do that go to C/program files .. or where did u instal that and u will see folder premiumsoft and mysql .. u need delete that .. reinstal didnt delete those 2 folders .. it will work now

sigh, now when i run it it says that i already have the MySQL service.....


" A windows service with the name MySQL already exists. Please uninstall this server correctly or choose a different name for the new service"
