I have the same thing: Go into your blizzlike folder and stop your mysql. Put the password. Now, reclick on start. And go to pickos repack, and it should work

I'll have the realm.conf, ascent.conf, and logonserver.conf set to my no-ip adress and when I click the start button on the ascent restarter it will instantly shutdown. Any help and ill +rep.

I solved my problem btw! Downgrade your wow to 2.3.0 and it works so smooth.

ok... i have this problem with alot of other repacks
i can launch the ascent and logon server. i have it all configured right, i have the maps folder in the servers folder and i can log onto the account and make a char...
but then when i get ingame the maps half load and then it gives me a disconnected from server but the ascent and logon server are just fine and dont crash
WHATS GOING ON! could it just be that im using a vista comp? cause iv heard alot of bad stuff with vista and wow servers

ok heres my problem
all my configs are correct
ascent and logon server launch and work fine
i got all the maps out right
but when i log on... i make a char and once it gets to finish the loading screen the world (what you see ingame, not hte loading screen, like buildings and stuff like taht) and i get DCd
the logon server and ascent dont crahs, its just me Dcing

Hey guys, ive tried to setup this server many, MANY times before i figured out what i got wrong, for those of you who get DCed in game after making a character and trying to logon, go to you Ascent restarter and click STOP on Voice Chat, it worked for me. Be forewarned however, talking to most vendors and looting bodies will result in a disconnection from your server, if any one knows how to fix that let me know, but to get rid of the DC, disable voice chat

Alright, this time i completely figured out how to fix your problems...

IF you still want to play on retail...
Copy your World of warcraft folder, (C://Program Files/World of Warcaft), and DOWNGRADE to patch 2.3.0, and set your maps folder in there. Create a shortcut of the world of warcraft launcher in the copy world of warcraft folder and put it to desktop, and rename it to something else so that you wont get it confused with your retail world of warcraft launcher, therefore when your Ascent restarter starts up for your server, it will run off of the copy.

IF you dont care if you have retail WoW or not...
Just DOWNGRADE to patch 2.3.0 in your regular world of warcraft folder and you dont have to worry about copying and what not.

Okey, i'l tell u. 1) Go to your NCDB 2) then open ascentlogon folder 3) there u will see
ACCOUNTS write like this ( leav acct like (none) ; Loggin What u want and passw what u want Write a gm level (0-for no gm. 1,2,3,4,a,az) az its a server creator our fully admin.4)At last u just need to put flags 8 to TBC and 0 for for none TBC. and then push bottom UPDATE RECORD . okey now u have an acc.

I made an acc but i play for a while and had some fun with gm stuffs and when I did log in agian my gm was go so I checed navicat.. made new accs nothing did work how do I get gm agian. Btw great guide.
