First go to download Hamachi [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Once Hamachi is completely downloaded follow the next few steps:


a) HAMACHI:
1-Install hamachi
2-Open Hamachi
3-Click the little triangle in the bottom corner
4-Click Create new network
5-Network details must be acurate for people to join!
Now look at the IP Address at top and remember it because it will be needed for the server.



b) LOGONSERVER CONFIG:
Open Logonserver Config and find this and replace this with your info
<LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"(Leave This)
Username = "root" (Leave This)
Password = "password"(MySQL Pass)
Name = "ascent"(Leave This)
Port = "3306"(Leave This)Type = "1">(Leave This)

Now scroll to bottem of logonserver and find this and replace with any pass of your choice
<LogonServer RemotePassword = "public">

c) ASCENT CONFIG:
Open Ascent Config and find this and replace my info with yours from navicat database

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "password" Name = "ascent" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "password" Name = "ascent" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

d) REALM CONFIG:
Open your Realm Config file and find this

<LogonServer Address = "Hamachi ip"(Hamachi IP)
Port = "8093" (Leave This)
Name = "Default Logon"(Leave This)
RealmCount = "1">(Leave This)

<Realm1 Name = "Realm name"(Any Name)
Address = "Hamachi ip:8129"(Hamachi IP)
Icon = "PVP"(Leave This)
Colour = "1"(Leave This)
Population = "1.0"(Leave This)
TimeZone = "1">(Leave This)



e) CONNECTION:
First go and create an account
Next change your realmlist.wtf file in your World of Warcraft folder (C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft)
From: Set Realmlist US.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
To: Set Realmlist "your hamachi IP Address" (DO NOT include the paranthesis)

AFTER EVERYTHING IS DONE!!!!

To have friends connect just have them replace the "set realmlist US.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" with "set realmlist your hamachi IP address"

i need help i followed your tutorial but how do i get people to connect to my server?

Just have them put your hamachi IP address in their realmlist.wtf
they should be able to connect if they have an account on your server

everything is good until i go to start up my server
it says authentcation failed on both acsent and logonserver

if u didnt before you start up server thats your problem

ok i got one of my friends to change their realmlist to my himachi ip but it didnt work, i even got him to join my network i made on himachi, then i tried to connect but still not working...? plz help

i hate to post one after another like this but i forgot to ask a question , do i have to open ports at all? cause i cant . when i installed windhoes (windows) on my computer it messed up on the network setting and wont let me into it, unless you know a way to change it with a program or some thing plz tell me thx bye

I dont have a clue.. its working for me fine on my server... me and a couple of my friends log on every now and then to hax it up...

But yes i would try opening all the ports on your modem/router just incase something is keeping him out!

You have to open up ports. I believe AC-Web's site has the required ports.
