O.k., well 1st off I'm sorry for the delay, it was a very long "pain in the ass" day for me
To the point; The "connections" part I was talking about was basically just so I could physically see the char,logon & world were all in the right place with the right stuff under each, which you showed me, plus more so we are good there.
For the code, I can't say for sure that anything I am changing is the actual problem, but it's the way it works for me, so if these changes DON'T solve the problem, I will then tell you the next info I will need. Let's hope it doesn't go that far

Yes, they are very simple changes, but I seem to remember on my old server, I had your problem when I didn't change those so try it. The map unload change is for once you get it running because unless you have like 4GB of ram, you DON'T want all those maps loaded all the time

I completely forgot about the arcemu-realms.conf, I shoulda had you send that too. No matter, yes what you have above is correct, let's make sure the bottom of it is too, it should look like this:

I think this may be what is wrong, it just occurred to me that it showed your realm as "Test_realm" or something like that & like I said, no symbols,spaces,etc. HOPEfully, that is it & you can play

Oh, as for the realmlist.wtf, you should have this in it "set realmlist 127.0.0.1"
it's up to you if you want to leave the rest of the crap in there (the setpatchlist bla bla bla). You don't need the rest of it unless you plan on playing retail (If you do, you could just copy all of it into a text file somewhere else on the HD). By the way, just so it's clear, if you updated WoW from 2.x.x, there are probably 2 different realmlist.wtf files, so make sure the one you are changing is in this location: "World of Warcraft\Data\enUS"


*edit* Man, i guess i have just been out of it for the last couple days... i just looked at the code from a few posts back, i was so concerned with all the sql errors, i focused on them & totally missed the registered realm "test realm" (with a space). obviously i SAW it tho because i thought of it today!

Well I haven't covered everything yet....I just know it's gonna end up being something stupid that I missed, try approaching it from this way....When I originally set mine up following this guide, I had major problems with it. In my case it's because I already had all the programs so I skipped a bunch of steps but maybe it is more than that 'cause what I finally did was go to ArcEMU's wiki page and followed it to set up my emulator part & THAT solved so many problems! so, go to the site I will give you & follow it's directions. O.K., I believe we have finally found your problem! There are differences in both the Logonserver & world .exe's from what I get, but I wasn't seeing anything that would cause your problem until most of the way through the world one. You have no maps! or at least they aren't loading. I am also still bothered by the SQL errors you have. I think you may be using an older world structure then you should! the errors are saying "whatever"loot on all the fails, but in the tables they are called loot_"whatever" (ie; skinningloot & not loot_skinning). So, I think you need to run some updates. Did you run the "ArcEmu DB Updater.bat" when it told you to? if not, do it, it is in the SVN folder (SVN\ArcEmu\trunk\sql\utilities) Once you answer all it's questions, tell it to "update all" (option "a" I believe) & that should fix the SQL errors.
As for the map errors, first, lets make sure your Emu folder has everything it should. This is what should be in it: folders "config" "dbc" "maps" "scripts_bin" & "scripts", then the "arcemu-logonserver.exe" & "arcemu-world.exe" & lastly, "collision.dll". You may also have one called "stats.xml" but don't have to have it. Assuming you have all those, is there anything inside the "scripts_bin"? (I forgot to mention earlier, I think you are missing these too!) And also, is there anything in the "maps" folder? I am thinking no to both questions, so, to get maps, we can go about it 2 ways, you can tell me a good free place for me to upload my extractor, or you can do a search online for a "WotLK map extractor". What you need is a thing called "ad.exe". Wherever you get it should tell you how to use it. If not I will.
This is getting long so I wont tell you how to get the scripts yet, let's focus on maps 1st.

MySQL

I'm having trouble with MySQL I can't get the errors to stop, I keep getting either error 0 or 1045.

I have uninstalled the entire thing and reconfigured it multiple times, can anyone go in depth with the details on how to set up MySQL? Like step by step?

Once you have it completely installed, are you restarting your computer? I can tell you that the description on how to set it up in this guide is detailed, the only thing it's missing is pictures. If you really need pictures (if restarting doesn't solve problem), do a search for "set up ascent server". I don't remember the exact name but there is one I used around a year ago that had a detailed walk through with pic's. Or I guess you could try a search for "MySQL set-up", that may give better results. good luck

I feel like an idiot, but I can't seem to find the link for the libraries.

Hello

I have problem with arcemu-world.exe. When it starts loading the db it gives me this error:
"!!! possible invalid format in file DBC/Spell.dbc (us:231, them: 232)" about 50 times, then some red text I can't read because it crashes right away. So are my dbc files outdated or what the problem is?

EDIT: Ok I downloaded the DBC files from this post (I was doing this with the tutorial from other topic, and it had different DBC's.) So now I got it working And great guide!
