MySQLDatabase: Connecting to 'localhost' , database 'database' . . .
MySQLDatabase: Connection failed due to: 'Unknown database 'database'
sql: Main database initialization failed. Exiting.
please help

I have a problem though, when i have done everything in the guide, how do i make an account for the server??
Edit: I figured it out  . But now i can't create a character, everytime i try i disconnect, please help.

sorry i had to edit, reason was the picture i was putting up was not showing this was the best i could do | You need to rename your Databases in the configs files. you left them the default and the file is pointing to the wrong place i.e. a DB that doesn't exist. |

if you are using WoW version 3.1.1 it will cause this disconnect, you need to roll back your client files in WoW there's many guides around here how to do this. |

Reputation: 1 | | | Ok so I have re-done this twice to make sure it wasn't something I missed and I get hung at the realm selection screen, it will not connect.
I am running 3.0.9 build 9551 all of my configs are edited and all of my DBs are done the way the guide says, any help here would be appreciated |

Just ignore what version he wrote in the guide, if you followed it & got the DB from the trunk folder, you have the latest version & that is what you need at this point.
As for your disconnect problem, this problem used to show up on these forums all the time so have you done a search for it? you may find more detailed resolutions than I can provide. But, the first thing I would check is your firewall if you have one, make sure it isn't blocking anything related to WoW. Since you are getting to the realm select screen, I doubt it's blocking your IP for localhost (127.0.0.1) but it may be blocking WoW itself. Also, I can't remember if it causes this problem, but did you change the "change_me_world" & "change_me_logon" parts of the 2 configs to the same word? (I only mention it because it is the most overlooked part of doing the configs). Beyond that, try a search on the forums, I KNOW this has been addressed many times. I know I have seen it in the Ascent "how to compile" or "repacks" threads. Threads with a minimum of 15 pages. (means it was a good guide so many questions will be in there).
Hope I gave you at least some glimmer of help .

-fixed it.
But I have a 2nd roadblock now. Im trying to create the 2nd folder with WhyDB - Revision 270: / as the url, but it keeps telling me that it is invalid.

It should be put on the line that says: "URL of repository".
So, is that what you are meaning? or am I totally mis-understanding?  .

Anyhow, I got through it just fine, everything went great...until the end.
When I run either of the .exe's (logon and world) they load for a second or two, stop, and then quickly flash a red message at the bottom and close before I can read any of it...
Any ideas of how I can fix it? |

1st, check & make sure your firewall is allowing your server to connect (I doubt that is the problem, but worth a check).
2nd, go thru the whole guide again & make sure you didn't miss a step.
3rd, I KNOW this problem popped up a lot with the older Ascent EMU, so do a search thru the forum focusing on the Ascent forum. If I remember right, it was one of either 2Dgreengiant's or chrispee's (hope I spelled those right) "how-to setup your own server" threads, or maybe just an SQL thread (it's been a while  ).
