Character Creation Disconnect
I have found, that when updating my DB, sometimes the version DB and client dont match, and that almost always causes my disconnects. Make sure you are running a 2.4.X client with a 2.4.X db. that sould fix the problem.

Apple, I need your expert knowledge for a simple question
I have been on other private servers, and they all have Tier Vendors. My question is this. Can I put all of Tier 6 on one vendor, and set it to where only paladins see paladin gear, or do they see everything by default?
I know, its probably a noob question, but I have tried to bury myself in my db, but just cant find anything that fits what I need.

Sigh. Ok, for everyone complaining that MySQL doesn't open the config at the end of the installation on vista, it doesn't. For all you people saying start/programs/MySQL/Mysqlconfigwizard or whatever, that doesn't work either until you do what I've provided at the bottom of this post. Whenever you try to start that up, it gives you an error that says "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."
So yeah, stop saying doing that, because vista and XP are two completely different things
NOW, I have the solution for all you people.
2. Download and run Resource Hacker [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
3. Open ...\MySQL Server 5.0\bin\MySQLInstanceConfig.exe with Resource Hacker AS THE
ADMINISTRATOR
4. Navigate to 24\1\1033
5. Delete all text in the window
6. Press "Compile script"
7. Exit Resource Hacker and save the result (overwrite the initialMySQLInstanceConfig.exe)
8. Now MySQLInstanceConfig.exe should start normally.
EDIT: Or you can just download it from this site and run as administrator :P [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Np. I just don't like seeing so many people confused about the same thing. Feel free to put that in your guide. Just label it "MySQL on Vista." Or something :P
