Ok this is a complete guide to getting your howling repack working

ok once you have downloaded it extract it to winrar
if you dont have winrar its free and you can get it here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
ok once that is done downloading extract it to the local c:disk
once it is done extracting open the repack

there should be 3 folders
*ascent
*stuff
*server

you need to open the stuff folder

first go to map extractor (not vmap)
choose what language you want and drag that into your wow directory
then run AD.exe
once that is done delete ad.exe in your wow directory and move maps into the ascent folder

once you have done all that you go back to the stuff folder and open up vmap extractor and run that

once that is done you need to make it public

once that is done open up your ascent folder and look for a file called "ascent-logonserver.config"
find that and open it up in notepad

once its open scroll down and there should be a adress that says Evilwow.servegame.org or something like that
change that to your hamachi ip, if you dont know what you hamachi ip is open up hamachi and look at the top there should a set of numbers like this
5.223.27.88 or something like that
put your hamachi ip in the address spot then save and close

once that is done look for another file called
ascent-realms.config and open that up
scroll down and you will see something like you saw in the logonserver file
change that address to your ip and then scroll all the way down and there should be something that looks like this

address: Evilwow.servegame.org:8129
leave the 8129 and change the evil wow thing to your hamachi

ok once that is done look for another file called ascent-world.config
open that up and you will see the same thing basically
look for the Evilwow ip and change it to your ip
then save that

then go into the server folder and run mysql leave that open and then open the ascent folder and open up asncet logonserver then ascent world

do it in this order
*mysql
*logonserver
*world

ok if you dont want to make it hamachi go to here dyndns.org ok sign up and then go to services
then scroll down to the dns services then click on Dynamic Dns
then go into the right top corner and click on the get started button

then type in your server name in the hostname and choose the thing after it
checkmark the wildcard
and in the service box click the Host with IP Address
then click auto ip then the make host button

after u have made the host copy it you will need it later

ok when that is done go to the start button
then go to run and type in cmd
a box will pop up in the box type in
ipconfig
a bunch of numbers will pop up
use the one that starts with 192.something
type that into the address bar in your internet
then another box will pop up saying something about security and you have to login
the stuff is
user:admin
pass:admin

once that is done if you have linksys go to the applications and gaming button and put in these ports

80-80
3724-3724
3036-3036
3306-3306
6112-6112
6881-6889
8050-8050
8093-8093
8129-8129

those go into the start and end colums in the port forwarding
once that is done
go to start
then my computer
then local c disk
then WINDOWS
then look for a file called
system 32
open that up
then look for another folder called drivers
open that up
then open up the folder in there called etc
then open up hosts
open it up with notepad
then scroll to the bottom

it should look something like this

127.0.0.1 localhost


keep the localhost info
and under that put the host you made followed by your ip like this

example.servegame.org 192.xxx.xxx(the x's are the rest of the numbers to your ip

then put your host under that one but go here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ip address lookup copy and paste that and it should look like this
example.servegame.org 72.xxx.xxx
after that is done do the same thing i said to make it public with hamachi

This part of the guide is the errors you might get

the mysql might say that the port 3306 is already in use
to fix this go to the folder in the repack called server
then go into the folder in there called cysystem
then mysql
then bin
then the config file

there should be ports in there called 3306
change those to 4337

then go into the logonserver and change the port in there to 4337
then go into world and change the ports in there to 4337
then repon mysql up

Hi, did all. works fine thx but ONLY other players can enter. i cant enter my server with 127.0.0.1 or with angelof.mine.nu, it says unable to connect on 2. but on 127.0.0.1 i can see realm but i cant enter. anyhow my friends can enter with set realmlist angelof.mine.nu, please help +rep

ok did you try changing your mysql port.... if anyone else needs this i will post a guide on how to fix this
