FOR THE ONES THAT have the same error check and see if you have installed .NET Framework 3.5 if not try to uninstall everything that you have done to start the server (mysql, navicat and ascent) then go and download .NET 3.5 it from Microsoft ... and install it ...

NOW before you uninstal MySQL start the wizard and delete the service "root" if you have created it ... you can figure it out from the wizard

then you probably should start the config from scratch ... to have a clean install to all components (Firts MySQL - With it's service "root", then navicat, create the connection and test it and after that the databse "world" then modify the asccent-logonserver , ascent-realms and ascent-world conf files as specified and then run the logonserver and world exe files while having navicat open and started) .... and if you didn't do any mistakes .... make sure you keep the same caps for every thing that you have to change ... some things in here are case sensitive ... as i encounter some problems to at the beginning ... and when youre done give it a try and ... what can i say ... it should work ... if not then post again ...

my believe is that if you use a proper sequence to install everything you cannot get it wrong ... i personally had some problems too at the begining but now i have the server for quite a week now and i didn't have any more problems ... AT ALL

i even started to customize my server now ... ...



Oohh, and props to HAAR good fix for the LUA .. i dont get that error anymore... you got from me

You need to go in to the tools and install the .Net frameworks an that will fix the problem cus I had the same one

its a problem with your ascent-world.config or your ascent-realm.config go tnrough it all again and check its all right and set your remote password as the password u used for SQL. Rep+ if it helps

Hey apple I posted a porblem on the forums nad was told that it would be best to compile my own server but I dont really have the time and I was wondering if you could help becuase its your repack thats having the problem.

Whenever I start a new charecter or log to one my charecters it logs in appears to be floating in nothing, its like im falling from somewhere really high or im bugged underground. So to get back to land I use the .recall port command, it takes me to the floor but after about 5-10 seconds itll disconnect and itll keep doing this over and over again. Float -> Recall -> Disconnect.

Ive tried recalling to lots o different locations it doesnt help, when i recall everything seems alright, say if I go to stormwind the guards will all be there and everything seems fine but then ill be disconnecting again. BUT if I stay "floating" it doesn't disconnect just when I go to land.

If anyone can help please this is really annoying becuase I cnt play at all

when i shall "-Now just click logon.exe, ascent-world.exe and let it run YOU MUST HAVE NAVICAT open " , I interpritate it as the files in the ascent map that's called "ascent-logonserver" and the others. is that right? because thats the only one's i could find that seemed to matter:P anyway... when i open them there's a error message:

Hey if you downloaed the repack from here in the tools folder you find navicat lite which is non-commercial as it seems and ther eis no trial to it .. so uninstall any navicat you have installed ad use that one ....

Now finally i got the same message while i was doing some things with the database files and i guess i didn't know what am i doing . ...

BUT i fixed the problem as follows :
I have deleted the "world" database from my navicat cnnection and i went back to execute the batch file. after it was done still had the error so i decided to restart the pc .... now it's working again axcept that i lost all the changeds that i made as i didnt make a backup of the database after my changes ...
so i was able to fix this error in half an hour
