Deriko, this guide took you 4 hours to write but it took me a whole day to install on another PC(worked on mine for 1hour tho but i have some experience in setting servers).

The problem for the 'wrong conf file' error is .Net Framework 3.5 - microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en (i cant put links so thats why u gotta copy this address)
and also run the ''vmapextract_v2.exe'' file(run it only if installing framework didnt help beacause u gotta wait allot if ur PC is kinda slow... like hour and a half in configuration like 512ram and 1.9ghz processor).. hope i helped to the lazy ones :P

and at 03:16 AM i finished the server i started at ~13:00(took big brakes... after all im not a zombie :P )

As I was Saying Earlier ... Try and install .Net Framework 3.5 .. it is inside the repack that Romuville posted ... under Tools Folder ....

I had .Net 2.0 and i thought that it should be enough ....

but after 3.5 it worked just fine the server ....

Dude sorry ... i had to do that once but maybe you should start from scratch and try the second repack that romuville put ... or get another one ... i can say that i was lucky than cause i got all those errors and somehow i was able to fix it one by one and to put up the server

Post updated. The filebeam link now points to the v2 release. I was able to find out and correct the "check" issue (was just an incorrect path reference). This release so now includes the wait.lua script again

When I try to install .Net Framework 3.5, I get as far as until the "Download Section" It says it's done, but the loading bar is not completed. It says Download is finished. but it never goes to the next screen, At the bottom there is a "Cancel" Botton. If I press it, a text appears "Do you really want to cancel this installation?"
If I press yes, It says "Canceled before the installation was finished". If I wait, and don't press cancel even though it says it's finished. I get an error messege where it says (Translated from swedish): "A problem appeared during the installation. The installed files has been removed from the computer. Information about known problems is located in the section "Important Information" <--(Link) online. Problem information is located in the "Errorlog" <-- (Link).
When I click on the link "Errorlog" It appears following texts.
[06/02/08,14:32:41] XPSEPSC Installer: [2] Error code 1603 for this component means "A serious problem appeared during the installation." <--(Translated)
[06/02/08,14:32:41] XPSEPSC Installer: [2] Setup Failed on component XPSEPSC Installer

ZAPTON .. try and go to control panel and to add/remove programs .. and uninstall anything that says .net framework 3.5 (only that one and only if it is there) - in case you intstalled it but still not works ...

here is something that i found on microsoft website about your error ...

NOW ... BE CAREFUL ... do not follow all the instructions how they are saying it in the website .... at least not just now .... go down the page and use the link to the .net 3.5 and download it from there and try again to install it ..

ONLY if ... the new trial doesn't work try to uninstall all the .Net frameworks from your computer and reinstall everything ... But this should be THE LAST SOLUTION ...

hello, please if you were kind and help me with this..
I got stucked here cause i dont know what you refer when u say double clikc on data base and i dont find the batch file, oh, in the Tools i found the maps an d i done what it said, i copied it in wow game installed folder and cliekd on "ad.exe" then it started to unnpack all maps... please help me
-then continue
-now double click on ur database
-then left click it and choose new databse , name it world
-now double click world
-now left click it and click excute batch file
- a new menu should pop up
-now click the … and browse tthru ur deskstop and choose apples ascent then choose database then world
-wait for it to load it should take like 10-20 min or so, so go do ur homework XD
-when its done click close then double click world it should have stuff in it!!!
-now look for accounts and click it
-you should see ur username and pass admin
