i didn't turn off firewall and how do i port forward cause when i typed in my ip it went to SBC and i clicked on every dam link and couldn't find port fowarding...

ok so i figured out how to port forward. i port forwarded everything i was suppose to i turned off my firewall and it still says unable to connect to realm list server. i don't know what the problem is i made a brand new server just for this i followed all the directions and its still not working. if you have any advice please respond....

I can log on but when i put in my DNSRV on the realmslist of another computer it cant connect

Ok im a little bit stuck on config. Ok after using Howling's repack I explored it read the instructions and I did everything right. When it came to the dynDNS I made one just like you instructed me to. So after I put in the website name thing in the config files it all worked. But after 5 seconds my ascent log on server and world just turn off... I didn't know it was sopose to turn off so I try to log in obviously nothing happens... So after talking with a friend trying to find out whats wrong. I noticed I didn't check in the Alias for the website thingy. So I deleted my old one because I wanted a new name and put in a new one and made sure I did it right. After I put it in the config files it now says that my website from dynDNS is unavailable... What am I doing wrong. Im giving Rep for the right answer ... I really dont know what is going wrong

Ok this is what it says when I open these files

Ascent Realmserver - Connection failed due to cant connect to mysql server on pheonixvirus.servegame.org (10061) And access denied for moocow@localhost using password YES
I dont even know where the moocow@ came from...

My firewall is off im using my laptop that is connected to a router wireless and I forwarded the ports just like it was instructed

Any help to fix the problem im having would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Ok it turns out I forgot to put in pheonixvirus for Hosts notepad but it still hasn't eliminated my problem
Infact now I got another problem

For Ascent Realmserver - Cant connect to localhost on mysql (10061)

And when my friend was helping me and edited my config files he changed the name for logon database name to "char" and I think it gave me a problem before with that saying it was something unknown he wrote the same thing to my ascent realms if you ask for my config files ill be glad enough to email it you
