Well this is a very short guide, but helpful. I've had problems with trainers and can be kind of frustrating when you install your new db and trainers don't work .

1.Download this file and execute the sql query:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]


2.Then open a notepad copy and paste this query and save it as all files and execute into your db:

ALTER TABLE `trainer_spells` change `cast_spell` `learn_spell` int(10);
ALTER TABLE `trainer_spells` ADD column `cast_spell` int(11) UNSIGNED NOT NULL after `entry`;

Your trainers should be working now. Good luck

Advice: always make back up's of your db before you make changes to it, im not reponsible for any loss or else, for not using this the proper way and with an up to date db.

Note:
This will NOT fix custom trainers you find on a repack. This is meant for db's like it was NCDB and so on. 2.4.x updated Blizzlike db's that don't have the tables altered (that don't have custom trainers to be more specific).
If the trainers are not working on the repack you got, you probably did something wrong, or you didn't run an update provided with the repack or the ascent core you are using is not compatible with the tables of the db you are using or maybe the tables are screwed(which i don't think so).
Read your repack instruction's first. READ, READ. When you Read things, you less likely have chances of doing things wrong.
If this is not the case. what you can do is this. Fix the default trainers first by using this queries i provided, then when the default ones are working you can go ahead and make your custom ones.

Ran with Seven's repack and did this without doing any sql updates and ive got trainers working good now.

@spboy, you might wanna check if you had your tables updated , if you had a an all db that is was going to happen, your trainers wont work, run the ascent updates and then run this queries.

This fix actually worked for me, but then it somehow corrupted my creature spawns tables so I had to restore the entire world DB.

strange, i can't think of a reason why that would happen, since this has nothing to do at all with that table.

i use the apple repack, and when i apply this fix, the mall trainer don't want to speak

Like i said on the main post, this is for use with a default Blizzlike db to say it that way, this is not meant for db's you found on repack's, that have custom trainers. If your custom trainers are not working what i suggest you do is, apply the fix if your default's trainers are not working, ONLY if they are not working. After the defaults one are working you can go ahead and create your customs ones and they will work.

Hi, i'm having a rather odd problem with my trainers.
I can only talke to pally trainers and when I do, the only offer 2 spells, summon warhorse and judgement. I can't figure out why its only these two spells or why I can't talk to the other ones. If you have any ideas why this is happening or how it could be fixed, that's be awesome, thx.
