Do not listen to all those n00bs that yells "you need mangos to run that !!". It's a false statement. First of all, mangos sucks (LOL!). And by the way any emulator (a good one, obviously can handle the World of Warcraft Data files. There are no "special patches" or similar things required to load a bunch of world map

Mangos is tbh real good, never used it, but I still know it's good. They are better then ascent in some ways.

I have this working in Ascent 4552. I got the file (patch-4.MPQ) from a different post. No idea if there are any differences between the two files, but I can't post the link because the mmowned won't let me (wow cool! oh well). However I can tell you that the other post is on the Ragezone forum and has the title "[Easy-Guide] How to Make Programmer Island [Tested, Working]", by 1337Equillbrium.

The worldmap_info table in the world database already contained the following information for the zone (so I didn't edit the db):

451,451,0,0,1,16304.2,16318.1,69.44,0,Programmer Island,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,80,0

If you open up the patch-4.MPQ file (in an MPQ editor) you can see that it does indeed contain the missing file development.wdt/wtl(?) file that comes up when the error happens.

Also, here are some worldport locations for programmer island:

Finally, as stated MANY times in this thread, the the file must have the extension in CAPS as follows: patch-4.MPQ .

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that your users can't get there unless they also have patch-4.MPQ as well.

Using ascent server Repack 7.8 with patch 2.4.3 anyone who resolves my problem gets :P

that should fix it

I added the files back to the common.mpq file and am reextracting the maps for ascent... I'll see what happens *fingers crossed*

EDIT: no luck... even adding the file to the original mpq doesn't solve why the client can't find the map... extracting the maps didn't help after adding it either. =/
