Look for

IP Address ...... 192.168.x where x is a value.

doesnt do anything... btw it can just be ipconfig... its stuck on handshaking :S... everything boots up fine... just stuck at handshaking

2.4 is out, anyone know how I can get it to work? was going to try that fix you mentioned but figured Id up it to 2.4 patch but now my ascent isnt working, crashes out on me

1. You gotta wait for a build of ascent that supports 2.4 to come out (may take a few weeks)

2. If you are running the server, you set your realmlist to MyIP. But the players that want to join, set their realmlist to your DNS server (server.servegame.org r w/e you chose)


3. If it is stuck at handshaking, that could mean your connection isnt quite forwarded. Double check your port forwards list.

I go my Virtual Server and klicked "Add" it asks:
Service Select (already reads "user defined, i leave it??)
Protocol (both?)
Public start port (like 80?)
Public end port (like 80?)
Mapped ip address (what i should put here?)
Mapped private port (what i should put here?)

I had try this things:
service select: User Defined
Protocol: Both
Public start port 80
Public end port 80
Mapped Ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx = my ip address
Mapped private port: i left it blank

But this dont work! i have tried restart computer but it dont help.

ok doing great, finally got the version back down to 2.3.3 so I can run it, made the change you recommended and now I can get into the game, but now I still cant get others to join...checked my configs, everything looks ok, the realmlist I gave them is set to my dnssever thing(myservername.hostname.net)...they still cant connect, is there a line I change in the configs to try and fix this? changing the line for letting me connect worked great, just need to get them working now please

Ceni) Im not 100%, but I would suggest leaving your Mapped IP and Maped Private blank. This might add different things you dont really want happening.


Seth) When they are connecting, what error are they getting?
Unable to connect?
Stuck at realmslist?


Please respond, as there are various ways to fix each issue.
