if it gave him just about half a level, he was probably in his level 40's. I did it at 39 and got a lil more than half a level. Now picture it at 20... zomg 2 levels! =P

Also, no its not impossible. Get someone to apprentice you. You will be fine as a level 79 =P I did it unapprenticed at 39
