I havent tested this thoroughly, but it might work indoors.

I was stuck in a building in Thunder River, so I started toying with spells and I found this.

Cast Path of Asura, wait ~1 second, click your mount key, wait ~2 seconds, then jump.

When you land, you'll be mounted.


Also, if you cast Path of Asura, hit your mount key, and then jump.. You'll begin seeing normal mounting animation, but you can cancel this cast (normally you cant interrupt mounting) by hitting Esc.

Does not work. Hitting mount doesn't interrupt your path, and when you jump it then interrupts it.

Just finished recording 10 Fraps 30sec clips. This is the best one, so I made it into my first movie, so you guys can see it work. Sorry if it's kinda low quality. I think my character name is in it, but you can't really read it, or at least I can't. Oh well.

As I said in the post...

You hit Path of Asura. You then wait about 2 seconds, and then hit your mount key, and wait another 2 seconds. And then you jump.. See video if you want to see it done.

Edit: My '2 seconds' that I counted out isn't actually 2 seconds, it seemed so. I just counted "one...two...mount...one...two...jump" Just toy with it a bit yourself, you'll eventually get it.

I'm willing to bet it'll work with all mounts, since the cast speeds are same and everything. As I said though, its kinda tricky doing it perfectly.

I think it takes exactly the same time to mount up the normal way, and it actually takes more time to mount up with this trick if your timing is not correct (multiple tries). ^^

It only works the 2nd time you jump as if it didnt cancel the first time. Thats why it seems like youre mounting faster

This is awesome, and I can use it with any buff that I have. Doesn't have to be path. You don't need to wait either, just click click jump.

If you can do it perfectly, it's actually 2-3 seconds faster than normal mounting cast time. The difficulty makes it somewhat iffy on it's usefulness.. but it's cool, imo, anyhow.
