At this time I don't have the money to upgrade my system, but i'd love to play AoC

Now at the time I started wow, I had an awful pc.
It took like 3 minutes to just logg into wow, and while playing i was on 10-15 fps on the lowest settings on both grafics and interface.
- But I had fun with the game.


Now my question to you is can I possibly just run AoC on all of the lowest settings on my current system?
My System is something like: (Not exakt, though i'm not currently at home and can check)

2.9 ghz intel something

1024 mb ddr 2 of ram

256 mb grafik card - GeForce 6800 I belive.


Now wow works fine on quite high grafiksettings.
And the PC is free of any spam or something that slows the system.

I've also tried upgrading the ram in the PC but I belive the second Ram slot is broken, because the PC wont start when I put another card in. (same type)


And soon I'm going to look for a better PC but I'm so wanting to try Conan, what you say?

I doubt you'll be able to play it at low, I had to replace my 1 gig ram 3.0 GHz processor because I had 10 FPS... Believe me, you get crazy if you play a game like that

I played with like 8 FPS up untill ~11 when I had nearly the same specs as you, then I replaced my video card (I now have the GeForce 8800 GT) and can run it pretty good, usually have between 40-50 FPS on medium.

I am playing mine on medium with worse gfx card then yours I have the 6400 but 1gig more RAM.

20-30fps on medium

Have shader on 2.0 and shadowing off.

Then log in. Face the direction of the map where you can see most of the map. EG if you are in bottom left corner look towards top right and tweek your view distances till you are on about 15-20fps.

You can turn particles off for spells etc. When I am raiding I turn it off and I have 0 lag ^^

Hey guys again if anyone reads. Bought AoC at first I had from 7-9 fps then I got a new Gfx card and got like 25-30 fps, now I'm going to get more ram and I am hoping for even more performance.

I got quad core 2,4. 4GB DDR2. 8800GT and it works 30-40 fps with everything at maximum. If I had an 8800GTX I bet I would get over 50fps anytime and no frames.
