I played age of conan for around a week with 3-8 fps, and managed to get 25. I canceled my subsciption the other day because of the horrible frame rate I am getting. I have a ATI Radeon X1200 (128 mb -.-) which is a pretty crappy video card that was okay like 2 years ago, haha. Is there any possible way on the planet that I could speed up my frame rate to atleast a constant 12 frames per second or so. The video card is onboard so I cant upgrade, and I put all the settings on lowest, and I tried putting all settings on just about everything. If I cant get at least 12 im done, which sucks because the game seems so awesome.

You need to buy new computer. And video card.

Your right your card is crap.

You can download a "Age of conan quick launch" program that does have some basic settings to boost your FPS and performance.

Also try setting the view distance to quite low, yes it will make it look a little more crappy, but at least itll play smoother.

I found hitting "medium" and then setting the view distance to 500 gives good results... also shaders on 2.x.

My pc has onboard video, but I still popped a 8800gtx in there, works fine. Just disable
onboard video in the bios.

had almost the same problem as you..

had GeForce 6500 256 mb, 2 years old.
1024 DD2 Ram
and Intel pentium 2.93 GHZ

was on like 7-9 fps on the lowest settings.


Bought GeForce 8500 GT ( was going to buy 8600 GT, but it was sold out ) Around 60 $
Instantly got like 25-35 fps

Now I'm going to get 1 gig more ram and see the result of that.

Is it possible to do something like that with a laptop? haha
And are there like any external video cards or something?
