Hey all i was wondering if Age of Conan is all that great. I have been looking at it for a little bit on websites and i dont know if i should buy it. I want to try it but are there any demos or buddy key's? Please comment on what you think. PM me if there are buddy key's.

only on lvl 10 at the moment , but so far it seems like a good game , combat system is easy to get to grips with altho i find mself mashing the 3 attack buttons and clicking the abilities

it does require a powerful system , i am running a dual core with 2gb ram and a geforce 8500gt 512mb ram at 1280x1024 i checked the fps once or twice and highest i noticed was 27.7fps

But overall, It just rocks

Yea I am waiting 2-4 months after launch to get it. And for the guy who says that It requires more then crysis, that is a pure lie. I am currently trying out me neighbors account, with this - 4gb Ram, Pent D, 8800gt I can play high with a smooth 40-60fps

Yep, I have that too and it isn't slowing down too much. It not horribly buggy, but def not up to Blizzard level especially the customer support.

their customers support is this bad because(answer slowly on tickets / emails);
they only have 150 employes.
On release 400.000 people registred their AoC account.
Everybody is writing tickets due bugs.
They are trying to fix all the bugs people report in.
They answer tickets.
+much more.

I don't have it, but as for the bugs you need to think that when World of Warcraft was first release it too was buggy. Give it time. WoW was once as bad as private servers, if not worse in some cases. :P

They are fixing alot of the bugs but at this point i wouldnt buy it. There is a huge lack of content 40+. Its pretty fun till u hit 45 then it is just one big grind. They say they are going to implement more content for this by the end of june. Id check back then and see if they have delivered.

Like the others said, there's alot of content missing. The start area is flawless, but once you leave it you'll notice alot of stuff missing. Example: all npc's have voices added in the start area, but once you leave it, the npc's have no sound but only text.

Crafting is a huge mess, items missing so you can't progress. Other than that, most professions are useless and boring.

There's times where you can't quest and have to grind your way up, but they announced to fix this in the summer. Oh and last but not least, the game's quite buggy sometimes; quests not working, stuff disappearing etc.

However, its a promising game, and I'm sure they'll fix the issues this game has. You can start playing now but I'd suggest you wait a few weeks.

Hi, i'm an ex-gamer looking to return to gaming and thinking about AoC. For those of you that have tried it, is the combat system as interesting as it sounds?
