A Database? - 05-25-2008

So basiclly I wanna come to the subject directly...

There is alot of DBs for WoW(Thottbot, Allakhazam, WoWDB, WoWhead, etc, etc)
But what about AoC? I know [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] has one, but no other what I know.
I talked with a few fellow players earlier today, and most of them was like "Yeh, but you don't need something like that. You already have a built-in quest tracker!". But honestly? Is that onlt what we use the databases for? No, What about searching items? What about reading tips? What about checking info about mobs? What about locating vendors?
So basiclly I wonder... How many people would be intrested in something like this? Would it be usefull and neccisary?
And... How many people feel like real gamers and would like to work on something like this?

Remember, this is no project thread, It's just a discussion. No one have said: "You've said you could help, that means you gotta do it"

Yes it would, ive seen a few sites that do blank talent trees and none that store builds, ive seen sub-par wiki pages and fansites, and no database sites besides mmodb....

Why are there so little sites out there??

Well, you could easily grab all the database info you want from the game itself. (Dynel's are quite helpful, and easy to turn on.)

It's basically an XML dump of whatever you tell it to dump. (It does have certain restrictions though)
